Greene County treasurer Donna Lawson reminds all property owners that second half real estate and mobile home taxes are due. A penalty of 1.5 percent (minimum $1) becomes effective after Tuesday, March 31.
Taxpayers are reminded to include their tax stub with their payment to ensure proper credit.
Also, persons who are age 65 years or older, or who are totally disabled, may be eligible for an additional elderly tax credit or rent reimbursement. Contact the treasurer’s office on the second floor of the courthouse, or at 515-386-5675, for information.
Property taxes can be paid online using VISA, Discover Card, MasterCard or an e-Check at www.iowatreasurers.org.
